What to watch.
- Never mention the customer's address, street or anything that locates their home.
- Emergency call-outs: thank them for trusting you at a bad moment.
- Late arrivals: say what you'll do to warn people sooner, such as a text when the technician is 30 minutes away. Only promise it if you'll do it.
- Mess: apologise plainly. There's no good excuse for mess.

5-starEmergency job
Review (example)
Pipe burst at 10pm and Dan was here within the hour. Lifesaver.
Example reply
Thank you. A burst pipe at night is awful, and Dan's glad he got there quickly. Hope everything has dried out.
Why it works: Acknowledges the stress, credits Dan, no address.
2-starArrived late
Review (example)
Booked for 9 to 11, arrived at 1pm, no call.
Example reply
I'm sorry, a call was the least you should have had. We now text when the technician is on the way, with a real arrival time. Thank you for telling us.
Why it works: Owns the missing call, gives a real fix.
1-starLeft a mess
Review (example)
Fixed the leak but left dirty water and bits of pipe everywhere.
Example reply
That's not acceptable, and I'm sorry. Cleaning up is part of the job. Please call me at [phone], and I'd like to send someone back to tidy up.
Why it works: No excuse, offers to make it right.
