Install
Get the ReplyPlate beta.
Chrome Web Store
The easiest way: add it from the Chrome Web Store.
Add to ChromeBeta zip (optional)
- 1
Download and unzip
Download replyplate-extension.zip
Unzip it somewhere it can stay, like your Documents folder. Chrome reads the extension from that folder every time it starts, so don't delete it after loading.
- 2
Open your extensions page and turn on Developer mode
Go to
chrome://extensions(on Edge it'sedge://extensions, on Bravebrave://extensions). Switch on Developer mode in the top-right corner. - 3
Click Load unpacked
Choose the unzipped folder, the one that contains
manifest.json. The extension appears in your extensions list. - 4
Pin the icon
Click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and pin the extension so settings are one click away.
- 5
Say yes on first use
The first time you use it, ReplyPlate asks for your OK before it sends a review anywhere. It only reads a review after you click Plate reply on it, and you can take your OK back in the extension's settings.
- 6
Set your house voice
Click the extension's icon, then Settings & plan. Add your business name, a few notes on how your place talks (up to 400 characters), and a default tone. Press Save for this café.
- 7
Open your reviews and look for Plate reply
Open your Google Business Profile reviews page (or the Maps or Search view of your own place while signed in). A Plate reply button appears next to Reply on reviews that don't have an answer yet. If Google's reply box isn't open, click Google's Reply first, then Insert.
How to uninstall
Go back to the extensions page, find the ReplyPlate extension, and click Remove. That deletes your house voice and install id from your browser. If you used a license, deactivate it in the extension's settings first so the install slot is freed. To ask us to delete what we hold, use the support page.
