Pet groomer review response examples

People review groomers the way they'd review a babysitter. Use the pet's name if they did, take any injury or stress report seriously, and never blame the animal.

The reviews below are made up. Change names and details to match what really happened before you post anything. Draft one for your real review with the free generator.

Groomer habits.

  • Use the pet's name. It's what owners notice first.
  • Nicks or clipper rash: apologise, ask them to get in touch, and say what you do to prevent it. Don't speculate about vet bills in public.
  • "Too short": explain matting once if it's true, and offer to note their preferred length for next time.
  • Never write "your dog was difficult". Say "some dogs find grooming stressful" if you must.

    Review (example)

Biscuit came home fluffy and smelling amazing, and he actually ran to the door this time!

    Example reply

Running to the door is the best review Biscuit could give! Thank you. We'll see him for his next fluff-up.

Why it works: Uses the dog's name and the detail.

  2. 2-starToo short

    Review (example)

Asked for a trim and they shaved my poodle almost bald.

    Example reply

I'm sorry, that's a shock when you're expecting a trim. When coats are heavily matted we sometimes have to go shorter for the dog's comfort, but we should call you first. I've added that to our process and noted your preferred length. Please get in touch: [phone].

Why it works: Explains once, admits the missing call, fixes for next time.

  3. 1-starSmall cut

    Review (example)

Found a nick on her ear after the groom.

    Example reply

I'm so sorry. Please call me directly at [phone]. I want to hear what happened and make sure she's OK. We take every injury seriously.

Why it works: Concern for the pet first, everything else offline.

Questions

Common questions.

Should I post photos to prove the dog was matted?
No. Public evidence battles rarely win readers over. Share photos with the owner privately.
