What barber reviews are really about.
- The barber. Regulars follow a person, not a shop. Credit them by first name.
- The wait. Walk-in shops get most of their bad reviews from queues, not cuts.
- The fix. A cut that went wrong is usually fixable in a week. Offer the fix privately, not a refund in public.
- The vibe. Music, chat and the coffee count. If they mention it, mention it back.
Things to avoid.
- Debating whether the fade was "what they asked for". Nobody reading can see the photo you can.
- Posting the barber's side of an argument. Take it offline.
- Promising "no wait" if you're walk-in only. Promise a better estimate instead.

5-starRegular praising one barber
Review (example)
Marco has cut my hair for 3 years, best skin fade in town.
Example reply
Three years! Marco says thanks, and that he's not letting anyone else near your fade. See you in a couple of weeks.
Why it works: Credits Marco, notices the 3 years, sounds like a person.
3-starGood cut, long wait
Review (example)
Cut was good but I waited 50 minutes as a walk-in on Saturday.
Example reply
Thanks for sticking it out. Saturdays are our busiest, and 50 minutes is too long without a heads-up. We've started giving walk-ins a time estimate at the door. Weekday mornings are usually quick.
Why it works: Owns the wait, says what changed, gives a useful tip.
1-starCut went wrong
Review (example)
Asked for a trim and he took way too much off the top. Ruined.
Example reply
I'm sorry, that's not how you should walk out. Hair grows, but that doesn't make it OK today. Please message me at [phone]. I'd like to book you in with me to tidy it up as it grows, no charge.
Why it works: No argument about what was asked. Fix offered privately.
